Euralco has proven experience delivering within defence programmes through established OEMs. For example, we supplied aluminium sheet material in EN AW-5083 H321 for use in a lightweight reconnaissance vehicle with aluminium monocoque hull construction built in the Netherlands. This alloy was chosen for its optimal combination of strength, toughness, corrosion resistance and weldability — properties that are essential in lightweight military vehicle structures.
In addition, we supplied aluminium semi-finished products for anti-stab vests, applications where reproducible mechanical properties, controlled composition and full batch traceability contribute directly to the safety of the end user.

Lightweight solutions for safety and protection
Weight reduction is a crucial factor in modern defense and security solutions. Euralco is a specialist in lightweight aluminium applications for safety & protection.
A concrete example is our role as a material partner for aluminium safety shoe toes. These are approximately 50% lighter than traditional steel variants and combine protection with ergonomics and wearing comfort. This makes them particularly suitable for applications within police, riot police and military footwear.
In addition, we supply aluminium for applications where high mechanical load capacity and fatigue resistance are required, such as climbing and safety components. In such applications, failure is not an option and material reliability is key.
