Aluminium for transport
Aluminium for trailers, tippers and semi-trailers
At Euralco, we supply aluminium that helps the transport industry move forward. Our high-performance alloys are used worldwide in trailers, tippers, semi-trailers and other vehicles where weight, strength and durability make all the difference. From wear-resistant aluminium sheets for bodies to lightweight profiles and machined parts for bolted or welded structures. Our aluminium combines low weight with exceptional strength. The result: vehicles with higher payloads, lower fuel consumption and longer rust-free life, backed by materials that deliver top performance in all conditions.
For the transport sector, especially for trailers, tippers and semi-trailers, alloys from the 5000 and 6000 series are mainly used, sometimes also specific variants from the 7000 series for high strength.
The most common are:
- 5005 – good corrosion resistance, widely used for sheet metal and cladding.
- 5052 – excellent corrosion resistance, often used in tipper bodies.
- 5754 – very wear-resistant, good weldability, widely used in floors and sidewalls.
- 5083 – very high strength in 5000 series, ideal for heavy construction and marine applications.
- 5086 – high strength and excellent resistance to seawater corrosion, good weldability; Often used in underbody plates, chassis parts and heavily loaded trailer components.
- 5383 – improved variant of 5083 with higher strength and better weldability; Particularly suitable for lightweight constructions in trailer construction and demanding transport applications.
- 6061 – high strength, wear-resistant, good weldability, widely used for chassis and structural profiles.
- 6082 – even higher strength than 6061, excellent fatigue resistance, ideal for load-bearing parts.
Strong & light
Transportation is all about efficiency. Lighter material means higher payload, less fuel consumption and lower operating costs. But without strength, there is no safety or longevity. That's why we supply alloys that not only minimize weight, but can also withstand heavy loads, wear and extreme weather conditions. This gives transport companies and trailer manufacturers the confidence that their vehicles will always perform, no matter how hard the stake.
From idea to product
At Euralco, we believe that the best results come from collaboration. That's why we work closely with our customers in the transport sector from the very first idea. We listen to their vision, think along with them about the technical possibilities and together choose the right alloy and production method. Whether it is a new tipper construction, a lightweight chassis or custom profiles for special bodies; We translate concepts into concrete, feasible solutions. From design drawing to machining and delivery: we supervise the entire process and ensure that every part meets the highest requirements in terms of strength, weight and durability.
Customization & design
Every application in the transport industry has its own requirements. At Euralco, we believe that customization is the key to the best result. We supply aluminium semi-finished products that are precisely tailored to the design requirements of our customers. Thanks to our expertise in alloy selection, extrusion, machining and surface treatment, we translate ideas into materials that perfectly match the end product.
Aluminum sheets
Our aluminium sheets are available in a wide range of alloys including 5005, 5052, 5754 and 5083 and offer excellent corrosion resistance, high wear resistance and low weight. Ideal for bodies, floors and sidewalls that need to withstand heavy use and changing weather conditions (from arctic to tropical).
Profiles and structural components
For chassis, superstructures and load-bearing structures, we supply extrusion profiles in alloys such as 6061 and 6082, with high strength and excellent weldability. This makes them perfect for heavy-duty, structural applications where weight is a critical factor.
